The 18 to 110mm zoom covers the most used range, with a continuous F4 maximum aperture for Super 35mm/APS-C movies.

G Lens optical performance delivers image quality that fits perfectly to the image edges throughout the entire 4K production.

With its wide focal length range and fixed f/4 aperture in a compact form factor it is an ideal lens for videographers and cinematographers with versatile lens options for light image operations.

The lens may seem small, but there are pro features to back it up. The 18-110m focal length ranges from medium to wide angles.

Sony's built-in Smooth Motion Optics uses the internal mechanics of the lens to minimize focus shift and other noticeable anomalies when adjusting the lens during recording.

For smaller, less durable machines, an easy to attach and detach tripod stand is included. The stand is secured towards the back of the lens for tripod use. Alternatively, a conventional lens mount can be attached to the front of the lens for compatibility with a rod-based lens mount. It will accept 95mm diameter round filters and the included lens cap. A lens hood is also included to minimize glare. The shuttered design can be closed when the camera is not in use.

In addition to a smooth servo zoom, mechanical manual zoom provides instantaneous response with precise control. The desired viewing angle can be achieved by avoiding overshoot or overshoot due to delay. The zoom ring direction can be easily changed as needed, smooth, slow-powered zoom is supported, and a built-in zoom mechanism means the lens length remains constant regardless of focal length.

Professional Focus Features

The focus ring slides back to quickly interact with manual focus. Cinema standard MOD 0.8 gear wheels are built into the focusing ring, allowing standard follow focuss to be used without the need for bulky focusing gear accessories.
