The Datavideo DAC-60 SD/HD/3G-SDI to VGA Scaler and Converter converts SD/HD/3G-SDI video signals into VGA signals for display on computer peripherals such as projectors and monitors. The DAC-60 features a loop-through input that passes the SDI input signal downstream without changing it. This allows you to feed the same video signals to both VGA and SDI based equipment. The unit auto detects the input format and scales it to the user selected VGA output format, which is indicated by the six LEDs.
With the included software you can set the built-in processing amp (proc amp) to adjust Contrast, Hue and Saturation of the VGA signal. The SDI loop-through signal is unaffected by the proc amp settings. The unit is designed to be portable as it draws only 500 mA at 12 volts and weighs less than a pound.
Format
The DAC-60 is compatible with NTSC/PAL SD signals, as well as HD-SDI and 3G SDI signals. The unit will automatically detect scale and convert the input video signals into VGA compatible signals for display on VGA-based equipment.
Image Adjustment
The DAC-60 has a built in proc amp for image adjustment which are controllable via the included Windows software. Once image adjustments to the VGA output are complete, you can disconnect the DAC-60 from the computer and the unit will retain the image adjustment settings. Only the VGA output is affected and the SDI loop-through signal is unaffected by the proc amp.
Output
The mode selection button allows you to manually select from 8 different VGA resolution presets that the DAC-60 can output. Six LEDs provide immediate and positive indication of which VGA output format you have selected. The loop-through SDI signal remains unaffected by the VGA output settings and is available to feed a switcher or other SDI based equipment.
